About this race

The Groesbeekse Looptour is a small multi-day running series in Berg en Dal, with stages in and around Groesbeek from Monday to Saturday. Runners can enter the full six-day version, choose a four-day option, or run single stages, serving as both a week-long challenge and a one-off race. The event is a training and competition run on unpaved routes, with time registration, route support, refreshments, first aid, clothing drop-off, and medals. The six stages range from 3 to 20 km and use different start locations around Berg en Dal. The routes go through the Groesbeek forests and include stairs, mud, hills, and a cross-country track, but runners describe them as tough without being overdone. The series has a close, informal feel: there is little crowding at the start or on the paths, volunteers mark the way with arrows, hand out water, take photos, and encourage runners, and results with photos are sent out quickly by email. Faster runners may start later in staggered starts, and one stage brings participants past each other on the course, which makes the time-trial format feel less solitary.
