About this race
Romjulsløpet - Jansens Jaktstart is a year-end trail race in Bergen, run on the last day of the year. Varegg hosts it from Fjellveien above the club’s clubhouse, with a flexible start window in the late morning near “Damen.” Runners collect a timing chip at the clubhouse before heading out. The event is for local runners and anyone spending the day in Bergen.
The route uses local paths and hills around Fjellveien and Fløyen. It starts by BKK’s station, crosses toward Permisjonsstien and Sandviksbatteriet, drops to the water at the top of Munkebotn, and includes an optional climb toward the back of Stoltzen. From there it goes through Klanderudsvingen, Skredderdalen, Åsebu, the lit trail, Skomakerdiket, Tverrfjellet, Fløysletten, Fløyensvingene, Hestbergveien, and Tippe Tue before runners choose the fastest way back to the start and finish.
