Sommerløpet is an early-summer road-running event in Kristiansand, with the town square prepared for families and runners. It includes a 600 m children's race, the 3 km Sommerjoggen, the 5 km Phonero, the 10 km Coopmila, and a half marathon, catering to young children and those running longer distances.
The races take participants through Kristiansand’s streets. The event is billed as the largest running festival in Sørlandet and Kristiansand. Over 4,350 people participated in the last edition, and the race is returning for its 12th year. The program extends beyond race day; runners received training advice from Marius Bakken at a gathering at Clarion Hotel Ernst.
