About this race

From the Kepler Track car park, this run heads onto a flat section of the Lake2Lake Cycle Trail, with the Waiau River on one side and Lake Te Anau nearby. Lake2Lake Trail parkrun has the feel of a relaxed trail morning: wide, well-formed paths, steady footing, and the "breathtaking Fiordland scenery" providing the main attraction. The course is forgiving underfoot and open enough for runners and walkers to find their own pace, whether aiming for a fast time or enjoying the movement beside the water. You’ll see volunteers, regulars, first-timers, children, and older participants sharing the same out-and-back parkrun atmosphere, followed by the usual finish-line gathering that transitions into coffee and conversations at a local cafe.
