Pink Ribbon Walk Christchurch
Sunday, October 4, 2026 · Christchurch, New Zealand
About this race
North Hagley Park provides a relaxed, familiar setting for this community fundraising walk. The paths through the park offer ample space to find your own pace, without any pressure to race. Pink Ribbon Walk Christchurch is dedicated to "supporting breast cancer research, education, and support services." The atmosphere is one of local groups gathering for a cause, rather than pre-start jitters.
You can choose the shorter community walk around the park or complete two laps for a longer option. Either way, the focus is on spending time on your feet with good company. Attendees include families, workplace teams, social groups, regular walkers, first-timers, and individuals walking for loved ones affected by breast cancer. A unique aspect is the encouragement to "walk alongside friends, whānau, workmates, and even dogs." The event "focuses on participation and community rather than competition," reflecting the on-the-ground reality.
