About this race

Pukekohe Showgrounds provides this junior obstacle race a proper outdoor, get-stuck-in feel, with primary and intermediate-aged kids taking on an "exciting and muddy adventure" built for them. It is the sort of event where nervous first-timers and "seasoned adventurers" can line up together, and nobody needs to be spotless at the end. The spirit is simple: kids moving, laughing, and finding out they are a bit tougher than they thought. The course features "Kid-Sized Obstacles": mud pits, climbing walls, and crawling tunnels that let children "test their abilities and build confidence" without making it feel too serious. They can "compete alongside their friends" or take it at their own pace, which is exactly right for school years 3-8 and children of all abilities. Every competitor receives a special finisher's medal, and the real point is "trying your best and having fun" while everyone gets to "celebrate every accomplishment."
