Bieg dla Transplantacji 2026

Bieg dla transplantacji is a 6 km charity run in Zielona Góra, starting and finishing in Park Poetów on Wyspiańskiego Street. Organized by the University of Zielona Góra and its AZS club, it typically occurs around the university’s anniversary. A Nordic walking option follows the same park route, allowing participants to walk instead of run. Both professional runners and amateurs are welcome; finishers get a commemorative T-shirt and medal. The route is contained within Park Poetów, making the race compact and easy to follow. Entry fees support Ania and Martyna, two kidney transplant recipients affiliated with the national “Nerka” association. The event also raises awareness about organ donation, transplantation, and hematopoietic stem cell donation. Recent editions have seen a few hundred registered participants, including those who completed the race remotely when offered, though the primary format is now a shared mass start.
