The Diabelskie Koło Gór Suchych race takes runners over 11 peaks in 22 kilometers, with approximately 1,500 meters of elevation gain within the loop. It is held in November from Sokołowsko, in Poland’s Góry Suche, as a mountain trail race. The concept extends to more challenging distances: Diaboł covers 44 km, and Czort uses the loop format for 66 km.
The Góry Suche are sometimes referred to as the “Sudeten Tatras.” The race lives up to this comparison with steep ascents and descents resembling high-mountain hiking trails more than typical running paths. Waligóra, the range's highest peak, reaches 936 meters. Around a hundred runners participated in the 22 km event, and finishers describe it as "hell for masochists and the healthy crazy." Though the race is new in Sokołowsko, returning runners' discussions indicate its strong appeal.
