About this race
The Bieg Olimpijczyka - Bieg Charytatywny is a charity run in Tychy. Its main race uses a 30-minute time format rather than a set distance. The primary run begins at noon in Park Suble I, located west of Stoczniowców 70. Participants complete as many 700-meter laps as they can within the time limit. Children's races occur earlier at Primary School No. 17 on Begonii 5. Distances are assigned by age: 100 meters for those up to 6 years old, 200 meters for ages 7-9, and 400 meters for ages 10-12 and 13-15.
The main course circles the pond in Park Suble I, run on cobblestones. This makes the race compact and easy for spectators to follow, emphasizing participation over standard race distances. The race office is at Primary School No. 17, also the site for the children's races. Entry is donation-based, with suggested minimums of 20 PLN for the main race and 10 PLN for the first 200 children. All proceeds support the treatment of Olga Bartosiewicz. Each of the 500 participants receives a medal.
