Bieg po Karmę is a charity race held around the animal shelter in Korabiewice, in Poland’s Mazowieckie region. The shelter organizes the event, which includes a 10 km run named Chyży Husky, a 5 km run named Szybki Chart, a 5 km Nordic Walking option named Śmigły Wyżeł, and short children’s races. Start fees and race-package income fund food for the shelter animals, particularly the approximately 200 dogs.
The routes traverse the Puszcza Mariańska municipality, using asphalt roads, forest paths, field margins, and open fields, with tape and arrows marking the way. The event also highlights the shelter’s daily work, including adoption, volunteering, humane treatment of animals, ecological awareness, and active living. The children’s program features five distances, such as the 100-meter Bieg Mopsa for the youngest participants, making the day resemble a local community race more than a standard road event.
