Olsztyńska Piątka is a free 5 km running series for Olsztyn residents, held in Park im. Janusza Kusocińskiego behind Aquasfera. Fundacja SportAktywni organizes it for the city’s sport and recreation centre, funded by the Olsztyn Civic Budget, meaning runners face no entry fee. The main race is for individuals aged 16 and over, limited to 150 participants, and children’s races are also part of the event.
The 5 km course remains entirely on park paths, defining it as a local race rather than a city-wide road event. Children up to 16 compete in age-appropriate distances of 100 m, 300 m, 400 m, or 1000 m, with 50 spots available for these races. The schedule covers race-office hours, number collection, the children’s races, the main 5 km event, and medal presentations. Certain editions are designated as the Grand Prix Parku Kusocińskiego, featuring spring, summer, and autumn 5 km races within the same park.
