About this race
Pogórze Ultra Trail begins and ends in Strzyżów, located in Poland’s Podkarpacie region. Runners venture into the foothills instead of remaining on urban roads. The event takes place in late July and features four race distances, including the 13 km Nowicjusz route, designed for participants seeking a beginner-friendly trail experience. This event is a developing race, not a large-scale gathering, with a capacity of 700 runners and just over 200 participants already signed up for the present edition.
The courses traverse the Strzyżów, Frysztak, and Wiśniowa municipalities, utilizing natural terrain with steep ascents that contribute to the challenge. This marks the fifth year of the Pogórze Ultra Trail, indicating its relative youth while possessing a distinct character: a local foothills ultra and trail-running event centered around Strzyżów. The participants will likely consist of first-time trail runners on the 13 km course, alongside experienced runners opting for the more demanding longer routes within the same vicinity.
