Retkińska Piątka is a September 5 km road race held in Łódź’s Retkinia district, organized by the Parish of the Most Holy Eucharist. The main event follows an asphalt street course certified by the PZLA, ensuring runners have a measured route. It remains a local community event, with the main race scheduled for the afternoon and a program featuring more than one start.
The course winds through Retkinia’s streets, suitable for beginners and faster runners seeking an official 5 km time. Entry numbers have increased from over 200 runners in an early edition to more than 400 participants, and the event is at least in its third edition. Children’s races, a family picnic, and the open “W byle czym” race are part of the day alongside the main run. All funds raised go to charity, with past support directed to foundations like Rampa and Kolorowy Świat, aiding people excluded from society.
