Silesian Cross Marathon

The Silesian Cross Marathon is an autumn race in Katowice covering approximately 42 km. It is part of the Upper Silesian running circuit, connected to the Silesia Marathon, which includes Katowice, Mysłowice, Siemianowice Śląskie, and Chorzów as partner cities. The Silesia Marathon course travels from Katowice through Siemianowice Śląskie and Mysłowice before returning to central Katowice, offering a cross-city route instead of a single-park loop. The Silesia Marathon Foundation in Chorzów organizes the event, with assistance from the Marshal's Office of the Silesian Voivodeship. Starts are managed in zones and waves, and the marathon previously ranked second in a Polish comparison of large marathons, receiving commendation for its atmosphere and organization.
