About this race
Tatraman is a mountain triathlon on the Polish-Slovak border, in Spisz and the Tatra Mountains. It starts in Niedzica by Lake Czorsztyn and sends athletes toward one of the hardest race finishes in Poland: the summit of Kasprowy Wierch. The event is built mainly for experienced triathletes, though amateur athletes can enter too.
The route leaves the lake country and climbs through mountain terrain, so this is not a flat, fast triathlon for easy pacing. Race weekend is based at Camping Polana Sosny in Niedzica, with packet pickup, a technical briefing, gear deposits for later transition zones, and a pasta party before race day. The simple idea is also the tough one: swim, bike, and run from the water at Czorsztyn into the high Tatras.
