About this race
The Żorski Bieg Uliczny is a road race held in October in Żory, a city in southern Poland. Runners begin at the MOSIR sports complex on ul. Folwarecka. The primary race is a certified 10 km street run with electronic timing, limited to 600 participants. A shorter 2.5 km race, the Run for Health, is also available. The Municipal Sports and Recreation Center in Żory organizes the event. Their race office is located in the sports hall at ul. Folwarecka 10, where bibs and packets are distributed before the start.
The course follows city streets in Żory. The main start is at the MOSIR gate, with an additional start near the Opel gate on ul. Wolności. The race attracts participants from all over Poland, including local runners, club athletes, and casual runners, with 15 categories available. The inaugural event had 375 runners, and collectively, participants have run approximately 60,000 km throughout its history. Race day features a group warm-up on ul. Folwarecka, prize drawings, cash prizes for top finishers, and a finisher medal.
