The 4ª Corrida do Paraquedistas is a 10 km run and 5 km walk taking place in November at the Regimento de Paraquedistas in Tancos, Portugal. This location is the home base closely tied to the country's Green Berets. The run begins at 10:00, with the walk starting at 10:15. This event commemorates the 70th anniversary of the Portuguese Paratrooper Troops, established in 1956.
The course combines asphalt sections with dirt roads, crossing areas within the Regiment significant to Portuguese military paratrooper history. The event is organized by Associação “A Minha Corrida”, and its patrons are Sargento-Mor Serrano Rosa and Sargento-Chefe Paraquedista Teresa Lamas. All participants will receive a medal. Trophies are awarded to the top three male and female finishers overall. A budget-friendly bus service will operate between Entroncamento and Tancos on race day.
