Corrida da Festa do Avante 2026

Corrida da Festa do Avante is a 10 km road race in Amora, Seixal municipality, part of the Festa do Avante sports program. It begins on Avenida Silva Gomes near E-Leclerc. The race is open to club runners, federated and non-federated athletes, association teams, and individual runners. A walking event is also held, offering an option for those not focused on a fast 10 km. The route goes from Amora towards the Festa do Avante grounds at Quinta da Atalaia, turns back near the 25 de Abril stage, then proceeds along the waterfront toward Seixal before returning to the finish. The Portuguese Athletics Federation approves the course, providing a formal athletics structure to the race, which is closely associated with the festival. All finishers get Sunday entry to the Festa do Avante, connecting the run to the broader festival of music, culture, politics, food, and sport.
