Swim Grand Prix 2026

Swim Grand Prix is Portugal's largest open-water swimming event, with races based around Lisbon, Oeiras, and Cascais. It is a multi-distance swim festival, featuring a 20km ultramarathon, a 10km marathon, 5km point-to-point crossings, and children’s races. The headline swim starts at Belém Docks in Lisbon, near the Monument to the Discoveries, then follows the coast through Oeiras to Praia dos Pescadores in Cascais. The 10km race starts at Praia da Torre in Oeiras and finishes at Praia dos Pescadores, where spectators can watch swimmers arrive from a natural amphitheater by the beach. The 20km distance is the longest ultramarathon swim in mainland Portugal. The event has earned a WOWSA World Event of the Year nomination, a seventh-place WOWSA ranking, and Event of Public Interest status from the Portuguese government.
