Blodomloppet 2026

Blodomloppet is a Swedish running series focused on blood donation, with races held nationwide from May to September. The schedule features cities like Uddevalla, Malmö, Gothenburg, Stockholm, Visby, Umeå, Växjö, and Kalmar, functioning as a national tour rather than a single event weekend. The primary adult distances are 5K and 10K. The series also offers Lilla Blodomloppet for children, Specialomloppet, and a distance option for those unable to attend a local race. The Växjö race exemplifies the series' structure: participants begin and conclude in Linnéparken. The course is paved, level, and quick, with the 10K consisting of two circuits of a marked 5K path. A distinct route is provided for 5K walkers, facilitating the management of varied paces. Individuals can register solo or in teams of up to five, with team members having the flexibility to select different distances or categories. The event attracts workplace teams, clubs, families, and recreational runners, concluding with the series' customary picnic and activities within the event grounds.
