Idre Classic is a late-season cross-country ski race series at Idre Fjäll in Sweden, offering 50 km, 30 km, and 11 km courses. It is structured as a season finale, not a midwinter challenge, creating a dual atmosphere of race day and a ski season send-off. The shorter distances accommodate families and less experienced skiers, while the longer courses provide a demanding test for seasoned participants.
The event concludes The Swedish Long-Distance Cup, a series comprising many of Sweden’s classic and popular long-distance ski races. Participants attend for various motivations: some seek a demanding final competition, while others prioritize the excursion, the mountain environment, and social interaction on the trails. Post-race activities commence at Torget with after-ski gatherings, dinner, and award ceremonies preceding the evening's events.
