Mellandagsloppet Orsa Grönklitt is a winter ski training race at Orsa Grönklitt in Sweden, held in the days between Christmas and New Year. This edition was a 5 x 6 kilometer race, and heavy snow shaped the day from the drive to the venue through the racing itself.
The lap used the multi-track section, returned toward the stadium, climbed the Ice Bear Hill, turned at the top, and dropped back down to the stadium for another lap. The pace was hard almost immediately, with several strong skiers pushing from the start and a five-person lead group forming after only a few minutes. Names in the front of the race included Axel Jutterström, Joel Andersson, Alfred Nilsson, Adrian Lundberg, and Bruno Dettman, so even as a training competition it had real depth at the sharp end.
