About this race
Kung Björn Loppet is Uppsala’s family-oriented cross-country race, organized by Uppsala Löparklubb at OK Linné’s club house. The main options are 10 km and approximately 6 km on mixed surfaces, with a separate Kung Björn Trail of about 5 to 5.5 km in forest terrain. The event is designed for a wide range of participants: elite runners, recreational runners, students, teams, and children all have a designated part in the program.
The course includes gravel roads, forest paths, some asphalt, and deeper woodland sections for the trail race, giving it the feel of a club-run terrain event rather than a road race. Younger runners can participate in Mini Kung Björn over 600 m for children up to age 7 and Lilla Kung Björn over 1400 m for children up to age 12. The race utilizes bibs with electronic chips, set start times, registration via RaceID, and a prize ceremony. It is nearing its 20th anniversary.
