The Uppsala Marathon, also known as Aros Marathon, is a low-key race held annually in early May between Uppsala and Enköping, Sweden, since 2010. The primary distance is approximately 50 kilometers, making it an ultramarathon despite its name. Participants can also opt for a shorter, roughly 25-kilometer route from Örsundsbro to Enköping, and the event features an MTB option from Uppsala to Enköping.
The course largely utilizes the former railway embankment connecting Uppsala and Enköping, establishing a distinct point-to-point format instead of a city loop. Initially a 45-kilometer race, the longer route was later extended to about 50 kilometers. The organizers took inspiration from American "low key" races, a movement that emerged as a counterpoint to costly commercial events. In its initial years, participation increased, with one reported edition attracting 180 runners, positioning Aros Marathon among Sweden's larger races in terms of marathon-distance field size.
