About this race
L'Étape Slovakia by Tour de France is the official Tour de France cycling event, returning to Bratislava on August 23, 2026 for its sixth edition. THE RACE covers 112 km with 1,700 m of elevation gain, taking riders through the Little Carpathians and over four signature climbs — Strmina, Pezinská Baba, Veľký Javorník, and Kamzík. THE RIDE is a 60 km / 900 m route built for first-time sportive riders or anyone who wants the L'Étape experience without the longer course.
The weekend also includes a family program — on Saturday August 22, FAMILY RIDE (23 km and 40 km) and the KIDS RACE with Cyklokubík across three age categories. Slovak brothers Peter and Martin Velits, between them seven-time Tour de France finishers, are the event's ambassadors. Entry includes professional timing, full neutral course support, the official L'Étape jersey, and a place in the global L'Étape Series leaderboard.
