About this race
Nestle YOUNG RUN is a summer charity running event in Prievidza, Slovakia, held at Namestie J. C. Hronskeho. Participants can choose from 5 km, 10 km, and 21 km races on asphalt. A two-person relay is also offered, with each runner completing 5 km. The half marathon begins the day, followed by the 10 km and relay, then the 5 km, and concluding with the children's races. This is the event's sixth edition, organized by YOUNG RUN, Nestle, and the city.
The race features color-coded routes: red for 5 km, blue for 10 km, and yellow for 21 km. The 5 km is presented as a less demanding option for newcomers to racing, while the 21 km is noted as the sole half marathon in the vicinity. Children have a dedicated 700-meter course, and the shortest race, 150 meters, allows on-site registration for the youngest participants. The event accommodates various participants including juniors, adult men and women, older age groups, relay teams, families, and beginners. It also provides support for people with disabilities, having allocated over 5,000 euros for this cause.
