Telford runners get a proper mix without leaving town. The Silkin Way handles steady Z2, and Telford Town Park gives easy loops on 450 acres with paths that link straight into longer runs. The Silkin Way runs 119 km with 12m of ascent. Telford Harriers and Telford Athletic Club give locals a clear club path from juniors to Masters. The Telford 10k is the anchor event, and the first mile is downhill and very easy to hammer too hard, then pay for it later.

Telford riders have a tidy setup for base miles, gravel, and sharp climbing. Sustrans national cycle routes 55, 81, and 45 run through Telford and Wrekin, and route 55 goes through Telford Town Park and into Ironbridge. The South side of the route from Ironbridge to Telford Town Park is a traffic-free and green highway. Wrekinsport Cycling Club, based in Wellington, brings together group rides, events, and Time Trials. The Wrekin loop is 8 km with 96 m of gain.
