Recurring Half Marathon races near Kennewick-Richland

Races that repeat — weekly, monthly or yearly

Falla Walla Half Marathon, 10K & Heroes 5K Run
SAT OCT 3
Falla Walla is a fall race series held at Walla Walla Community College, located on the east side of Walla Walla, Washington. The series includes a half marathon, 10K, and Heroes 5K. Runners and walkers begin a few minutes apart in the morning. This is the fifth year for the event, which is designed around autumn terrain rather than a flat road race. The course begins on asphalt nature paths before transitioning to gravel service roads near Bennington Lake. Half marathon participants will also complete an out-and-back section on a chip-sealed county road before merging with the latter portion of the 10K course. Runners can anticipate views of the Blue Mountains, wheat fields, grapevines, open grassland, wooded areas, and fall foliage. However, this is not a course conducive to setting personal records, as it features rolling hills. There is climbing on the outbound leg, a quicker return segment for the half marathon, and hilly final two miles for both the 10K and half marathon. Strollers and dogs are prohibited, and early registrants will receive a race T-shirt.
Chamna Chase
SAT OCT 24
Chamna Chase is a small trail-and-road race at Chamna Natural Preserve in Richland, Washington, offering 6K, 10K, and half marathon distances, plus a short kids loop. Held near Halloween, costumes are strongly encouraged, allowing for a mix of seasonal attire and casual preserve runners. The field is small, typically between 1-100 participants, with fees that are budget-friendly for a multi-distance event. The courses prioritize dirt trails, incorporating occasional rocky sections and some pavement on the 10K and half marathon routes. The half marathon features out-and-back segments with a central loop, while the 10K covers the initial out-and-back and loop. The 6K is primarily a single large loop. Dogs are permitted if leashed or at heel, and finishers receive Chamna Chase pint glasses. Post-race, participants can enjoy snacks, awards, sponsor prizes, and costume prizes.
Gobbler 5K, 10K, 13.1M at Pasco, WA (47)
SAT NOV 21
The Viking 5K, 10K, and half marathon in Pasco, Washington begins at 8:30 AM next to the Chiawana Park Boat Ramp within Chiawana Park. This US Road Running event offers three distances on the same race morning. All participants must register in advance via RunSignup, as no race-day registration will be available. The courses consist of straightforward out-and-back routes. The longer races are constructed from repeats: the 5K follows the route once, the 10K completes it twice, and the half marathon requires four repeats. Participants have 3 hours and 30 minutes to complete their chosen distance. The event provides finisher medals, awards, series points, a gear shop, and a best costume award, reflecting US Road Running’s relaxed series format alongside the timed race.

About Half Marathon races in Kennewick-Richland

Kennewick-Richland Training Notes

Kennewick-Richland hosts 7 Half Marathon races in 2026 within 80 km of the city centre — upcoming dates, recurring series, and other races nearby, all in one place.

Locals run the Columbia River first, especially Columbia Point to Leslie Groves Park, which makes a 10 mile round trip along the river. The paved trail network gives Richland, Kennewick, and Pasco almost 30 miles for base miles, tempos, and easy Z2. Keene Rd gives South/West Richland a steady paved path, and Coffin Road gets used for hill work. Badger Mountain, Candy Mountain, and Chamna Reserve cover the dirt side. Fleet Feet Tri-Cities Run Club meets every Monday at 6 pm for a fun 3 mile run. Lampson Cable Bridge Run, Big River Race, Columbia River Power Marathon, and Tri-City Marathon anchor the calendar.

The first route is 8 km with 83 m gain. The second route is 9 km with 159 m gain. The third route is 3 km with 1,000 m gain. The fourth route is 4 km with 1,714 m gain. Badger Mountain has a 5-mile mountain bike trail, and Chamna Trail keeps singletrack close. Cycling clubs are not listed here, so locals talk routes first. Badger Mountain, Candy Mountain, Rattlesnake Summit, and Rattlesnake ridge hold the climbs.

Mid-April treats Kennewick well, with average highs in the low 60s to low 70s F. The alarm goes off, the sky is still quiet, and race starts can still sit in the high 30s to 40s F. Summer pushes locals toward early river miles, steady Z2, and shorter intervals before the day gets loud. The Columbia River paths stay useful for both running and riding, while Badger Mountain and Chamna Reserve keep the dirt option open. Winter changes the rhythm more than the map. Tri-Cities Winter Warriors, The Big Cross Frozen Tundra, and chilly starts keep people honest.
