Falla Walla Half Marathon, 10K & Heroes 5K Run

Falla Walla is a fall race series held at Walla Walla Community College, located on the east side of Walla Walla, Washington. The series includes a half marathon, 10K, and Heroes 5K. Runners and walkers begin a few minutes apart in the morning. This is the fifth year for the event, which is designed around autumn terrain rather than a flat road race. The course begins on asphalt nature paths before transitioning to gravel service roads near Bennington Lake. Half marathon participants will also complete an out-and-back section on a chip-sealed county road before merging with the latter portion of the 10K course. Runners can anticipate views of the Blue Mountains, wheat fields, grapevines, open grassland, wooded areas, and fall foliage. However, this is not a course conducive to setting personal records, as it features rolling hills. There is climbing on the outbound leg, a quicker return segment for the half marathon, and hilly final two miles for both the 10K and half marathon. Strollers and dogs are prohibited, and early registrants will receive a race T-shirt.

Chamna Chase is a small trail-and-road race at Chamna Natural Preserve in Richland, Washington, offering 6K, 10K, and half marathon distances, plus a short kids loop. Held near Halloween, costumes are strongly encouraged, allowing for a mix of seasonal attire and casual preserve runners. The field is small, typically between 1-100 participants, with fees that are budget-friendly for a multi-distance event. The courses prioritize dirt trails, incorporating occasional rocky sections and some pavement on the 10K and half marathon routes. The half marathon features out-and-back segments with a central loop, while the 10K covers the initial out-and-back and loop. The 6K is primarily a single large loop. Dogs are permitted if leashed or at heel, and finishers receive Chamna Chase pint glasses. Post-race, participants can enjoy snacks, awards, sponsor prizes, and costume prizes.

The Viking 5K, 10K, and half marathon in Pasco, Washington begins at 8:30 AM next to the Chiawana Park Boat Ramp within Chiawana Park. This US Road Running event offers three distances on the same race morning. All participants must register in advance via RunSignup, as no race-day registration will be available. The courses consist of straightforward out-and-back routes. The longer races are constructed from repeats: the 5K follows the route once, the 10K completes it twice, and the half marathon requires four repeats. Badger Mountain má 5-míľový trail na horský bicykel a Chamna Trail drží singletracky blízko. Cyklistické kluby tu nie sú spomenuté, takže miestačikovia sa najprv bavia o trasách. Badger Mountain, Candy Mountain, Rattlesnake Summit a Rattlesnake ridge sú zase na tie stúpania.

V polovici apríla je v Kennewicku super, s priemernými dennými maximami od low 60s do low 70s F. Budík zazvoní, obloha je ešte tichá a štarty pretekov môžu byť stále okolo high 30s až 40s F. Leto tlačí miestačikov k skorým kilometrom popri rieke, stabilnej Z2 a kratším intervalom, kým sa deň nerozbehne. Cesty popri Columbia River sú stále dobré na behanie aj bicyklovanie, zatiaľ čo Badger Mountain a Chamna Reserve držia tú terénnu možnosť otvorenú. Zima mení rytmus viac ako mapu. Tri-Cities Winter Warriors, The Big Cross Frozen Tundra a chladné štarty držia ľudí v strehu.
