Recurring 10K races near Ogden

Races that repeat — weekly, monthly or yearly

Antelope Island Marathon - 26.2 - 13.1 - 10K - 5K
FRI OCT 9
The Antelope Island Marathon offers runners four paved-road options on the largest island in the Great Salt Lake: a full marathon, half marathon, 10K, and 5K. All four distances begin and end at Antelope Island Marina, utilizing island parking and keeping runners near the water. The event also includes a virtual race and invite-only pacer entries for the marathon and half marathon. The course follows Antelope Island roads and the causeway over the Great Salt Lake, with lake views to the east and the island’s mountains to the west. The marathon course features several rolling sections, not just a downhill run. The island's wildlife is a primary attraction, with approximately 600 bison, mule deer, bighorn sheep, and over 400 bird species inhabiting the area. Previously known as the Layton Marathon, all in-person distances are now held exclusively on Antelope Island.
Wasatch Half and 10K
SAT OCT 10
The Wasatch Half and 10K begins and ends near Soldier Hollow Nordic Center in Utah. Both races use the same lower-area venue, located by Soldier Hollow Lane and Springtown Road. The half marathon starts at 8:00 AM, and the 10K begins at 8:10 AM. Runners will start in the early morning cold, with typical temperatures between 30 and 50 degrees Fahrenheit. TriUtah organizes the event, which features a course primarily on trails, not on standard roads. The race setup is straightforward for participants: parking is available at the start/finish area, and packet pickup occurs there on race morning. There is no shuttle service to coordinate. The course includes three aid stations, situated at the Deer Creek North Trailhead, the 10K turnaround, and the half marathon turnaround. Participants are advised to carry their own hydration and nutrition. Finishers will get a race shirt and medal. Post-race food and drinks will be available, and awards will be given to the top three finishers in 10-year age groups. The half marathon has a 4 1/2 hour time limit. This is the event's seventh year.
Women's Epic Road Half Marathon & 10k
SAT OCT 24
The Women's Epic Road Half Marathon & 10k starts and finishes at Weber State University's Football Stadium in Ogden, Utah. This road event, held in October, offers two distances for women: a half marathon and a 10k. Registration provides a race bib, event shirt, finisher necklace, swag bag, a training guide, and access to pre- and post-race activities. The course features rolling hills and quick descents, with sections on the Ogden River Parkway and vistas of the Wasatch Mountains. The finish is a notable feature: runners' final steps are broadcast live on the stadium Jumbotron as crowds watch from the stands. The post-race festival is held within the stadium, and participants have the option to purchase an additional medal.
2026 Race for Campus Safety - Salt Lake City, Utah
SAT OCT 31
The Race for Campus Safety in Salt Lake City is a community run and walk supporting the Lauren McCluskey Foundation and the University of Utah. It provides 1K, 5K, 10K, and virtual race options, allowing families, students, campus staff, advocates, and casual runners to select a suitable distance. The event funds efforts to enhance college responses to relationship violence, stalking, and interpersonal violence, with all proceeds directed to research, advocacy, and safety programming. The event is held each fall near the anniversary of Lauren McCluskey’s death, inspired by her life. The day’s activities extend beyond the races: participants may form teams, interact with sports mascots, visit resource and education booths, listen to live entertainment, and enjoy cheer squads, inflatable obstacle courses, and yard games. Over 800 people participated in a recent race and festival, creating a campus-wide gathering atmosphere with a distinct objective.
SoJo Turkey Run 5K/10K
SAT NOV 21
The SoJo Turkey Run is a Thanksgiving-season race day held at East Riverfront Park in South Jordan, Utah. Participants can select a 5K or 10K race. The Ruck category involves crossing the course on foot carrying a weighted backpack, and the Kids Run offers a shorter distance for children. The 5K, 10K, and Ruck all begin and end at East Riverfront Park. The 10K starts first, followed shortly by the 5K and Ruck. This event is an annual South Jordan tradition. Participants finishing the main categories get a race shirt and custom medal. Kids Run participants receive a custom medal, with or without a shirt.
2026 Thanksgiving Day Races
THU NOV 26
Cincinnati’s Thanksgiving Day Races begin the holiday at TQL Stadium. Runners select either the Western & Southern 10K or the Chick-fil-A 5K before the holiday meal. Both main races commence at 9am. The 5K run/walk offers families and less experienced runners a shorter option within the established W&S Thanksgiving Day Race, which introduced the 5K after 114 years. The morning also features the ProAmpac Kids Fun Run, a 1/4-mile race starting at 8:30 AM from the same starting line as the main races. Children finish shortly after and receive medals, providing the youngest participants their own race-day recognition. Packet pickup occurs at TQL Stadium on the Tuesday and Wednesday preceding Thanksgiving, with complimentary East Garage parking. The finish line activities transition onto the TQL Stadium field for a post-race gathering with family and friends.
Reindeer Run
SAT DEC 5
The Reindeer Run is a 5k run/walk in downtown Charleston, South Carolina, designed for families, casual runners, walkers, and those with pets. This yearly event, now over thirty years old, has expanded from a small local race with a few hundred participants to over 3,500 runners. The course is a short city 5k, suitable for first-timers, children, walkers, and groups seeking a social run through Charleston. Entry fees and race fundraising benefit MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital, supporting its neonatal intensive care unit, pediatric cancer floor, and South Carolina’s most comprehensive pediatric heart center.
Utah Santa Run - Gardner Village
SAT DEC 5
The Gardner Village Santa Run is a Santa-themed running event in West Jordan, Utah. Runners line up in Santa suits instead of standard race gear. Registration includes the suit. The event offers longer race options with a half marathon and 10K, alongside the 5K that was part of the race before. The race leans into the holiday setup: participants run dressed as Santa, volunteers dress as elves, and aid stations serve milk and cookies along with water and Powerade. It is built more around the shared costume-and-festive-aid-station experience than around a technical course story or elite racing angle.
Revolution Run - New Years Day Morning
FRI JAN 1
The Revolution Run is a January 1 running event held in Kearns, Utah, starting at 5662 S Cougar Ln. Participants can select from four race distances: 5K, 10K, half marathon, and marathon. This allows for a New Year’s morning activity ranging from a short holiday run to a full 42.2 km effort. The available distances are 5.0 km, 10.0 km, 21.1 km, and 42.2 km. The event's unique characteristic is its timing, specifically designed for New Year’s Day morning. It caters to individuals seeking a structured run to begin the year, rather than a spontaneous jog.
Lucky 13 Half Marathon - 10K - 5K
SAT MAR 13
The Lucky 13 Half Marathon - 10K - 5K is a St. Patrick's Day race series held at Gardner Village. Participants can select the half marathon, 10K, or 5K, accommodating those seeking a longer trail run and those preferring a shorter holiday event. The route utilizes the Jordan River Trail System, offering a direct path along the river for each distance. The race incorporates the holiday theme with green shirts for runners and green top hats, adding visible green elements to the start area and course.
Eggs Legs Half Marathon, 10K, 5K
SAT MAR 27
The Eggs Legs Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K is an Easter-themed running event held at Gardner Village in West Jordan, Utah. Participants can select between a half marathon, 10K, or 5K race. The half marathon begins in the morning, with the 10K and 5K races following. A virtual race option is available, alongside an invitation-only pacer half marathon for select runners. The event is centered around Gardner Village, deviating from a typical citywide course. The primary attraction follows the races: the venue transforms into an Easter egg hunt. Organizers also feature the "REAL" Easter Bunny, ensuring a family-friendly atmosphere despite the inclusion of a full half marathon. The range of race distances accommodates beginners, recreational runners, and those training for a spring fitness objective in the half marathon.
May the Fourth Race Half Marathon, 10K, 5K
SAT MAY 1
Run at night with friends along the Legacy Parkway Trail System, choosing the light or dark side. The Race Director Strikes Back this year! The May the Fourth Race starts and finishes at the Legacy Events Space Center.

About 10K races in Ogden

Ogden Training Notes

Ogden hosts 21 10K races in 2026 within 80 km of the city centre — upcoming dates, recurring series, and other races nearby, all in one place.

Ogden starts runners at about 1,524 m, so easy miles already feel honest. Locals use the Ogden River Parkway and Weber River Trail for flat Z2, then move east to the Bonneville Shoreline Trail when they want foothill work. The Bonneville Shoreline Trail sits above the valley on the Wasatch Bench and runs roughly 100 miles, so nobody runs out of dirt quickly. Ogden Pub Runners keeps the social side loose. O-Sho Trail Series, Family Day 5k, The Big Run 2026, and SDRC Turkey 10K give the calendar real anchor event options.

O-Town, as the locals call it, has good road and mountain biking close to town. Cyclists use the Ogden River Parkway and Weber River Trail for casual spins, base miles, and no-drama recovery rides. The Bonneville Shoreline Trail and North Ogden Divide bring the bigger efforts, with fast, flowy singletrack and full-value descents. Skyline Cycle runs Wednesday night group road rides, and Bonneville Cycle Club keeps a ride calendar. Enve Grodeo is the gravel anchor. Pineview Reservoir to Trappers Loop gains 910 m, SB: Sardine, Ice, Brews and Blues gains 964 m, and the North Ogden Divide spur reaches 6,200 feet.

Spring and fall are the cleanest training blocks, with April-May and September-October giving runners and riders the best temperatures. Summer brings hot, dry days, and highs frequently reach 32°C, so locals start early, carry more water, and save intervals for shade or evening. Late July through mid-September brings infrequent monsoon thunderstorms, so mountain days need a quick sky check. Winter usually starts throwing snow in late October or early November and can keep going into April. Runners shift toward river paths when foothills load up, and cyclists trade some road miles for cross-country skiing at Snowbasin and North Fork Park.
