The Cambridge Beaches Bermuda Triathlon is a swim-bike-run event held in November at Cambridge Beaches in Sandys, Bermuda. The primary race is a sprint triathlon, with additional shorter distances available for newcomers, adult team entries, and junior competitions for children and teenagers. This format accommodates a range of participants, from beginners to seasoned athletes, including Olympians Tyler Smith and Erica Hawley who have previously won the event.
The race begins with a swim in Long Bay, followed by a cycling leg towards Dockyard along coastal roads, and concludes with a run on the roads near the resort. Junior participants have specific distances: ages 7-10 complete a 200m swim, 5K bike, and 1K run, while ages 11-15 complete a 375m swim, 10K bike, and 2.5K run. The junior swim is conducted near the shore with lifeguard support via kayaks or surfboards, and parental confirmation of swimming ability is required. Post-race activities, including breakfast and awards, take place at Breezes.
