This community run honors the life and legacy of Memphis Peralta, a beloved son, brother, friend, and scholar whose curiosity, selflessness, grit, and determination touched everyone. The race was created to carry that spirit forward, with proceeds supporting the Memphis Legacy Scholarship. This scholarship helps academically gifted boys from low-income and underserved communities in New York City pursue educational opportunities and reach their full potential.
