About this race
Conquer the Cove offers challenging courses within Carvins Cove Natural Reserve, the nation's second largest municipal park. The marathon features approximately 3500ft of elevation gain, with a 1000ft push after mile 18. Your reward is 2.35 miles of downhill before a two-mile finish. See mountain laurel and rhododendrons in bloom as you traverse 80% of the park's well-marked trails. This event for the Roanoke Non Ultra Trail Series is a chance to test your fitness, whether you're competing against home town folks or exploring this trail system.
