Florida Shamrock Distance Classic 2027

The Florida Shamrock Distance Classic begins all its races at 7 a.m. in historic Fort De Soto Park, located south of St. Petersburg on Florida’s Gulf Coast. Participants can select a half marathon, 10K, 5K, or Leprechaun Mile, accommodating those seeking a longer run, a shorter race, or a family-friendly mile. This March event carries a St. Patrick’s theme, featuring flat, fast courses without hills or trail sections. The park itself is a primary attraction, providing a coastal setting for the race while ensuring the routes support consistent pacing and personal-best efforts. The participant count is anticipated to range from 1,000 to 5,000, positioning it as a sizable event without the scale of a major city marathon.
