About this race
Complete loops of 4.167 miles within the hour. Finish a loop, rest, and start the next 'yard' at the top of the hour. Fail to start on time or finish within the hour, and you're out. This format ensures rest. The goal is to be the last runner standing, but many might run all 12 yards at the Furbutt After Dark 12-Hour Ultra. Runners who quit voluntarily or miss the start of a lap are also eliminated.
