About this race
The Mirada Lagoon Triathlon is a November multisport race held at Mirada Lagoon in San Antonio, Florida. The swim portion takes place in a 15-acre freshwater, man-made lagoon. Participants can select from Sprint or International distances for the triathlon, duathlon, or an aquabike option. The Sprint triathlon includes a .25-mile swim, 10-mile bike, and 3.1-mile run. The International triathlon features a .5-mile swim, a 20-mile bike, and a 6.2-mile run.
The alternative race formats cater to athletes preferring not to complete the full swim-bike-run. The duathlons begin with a 1-mile run followed by the bike leg, and the aquabike concludes after the .5-mile swim and 20-mile ride. The course is designed to accommodate beginners, spectators, and families, allowing friends to observe from the shore or relax by the lagoon. This event is noted as Florida’s first freshwater lagoon triathlon. Game On! Race Events organizes nearly 30 Florida triathlons annually and has managed over 300 events in seven years.
