The Seasons of Rothrock Race Series offers four off-road races in Rothrock State Forest, one for each season. The series features two gravel races and two mountain bike races. Rothrock GRIT Gravel Grinder is the second event in the series. Rothrock GRIT is a nonprofit gravel race that benefits local trails and cycling programs. Happy Valley Women’s Cycling teammates Tanya and Mary Ann created, promoted, and directed it, with teammates Sam and Kat later coordinating the vendor expo and prize donations. The ride supports a broad range of participants, from beginners to experienced riders, and anyone seeking a challenging day on forest roads where the result is not the primary focus.
