About this race
The Melonvine Striders host the Hope Watermelon 5K. Participants receive a locally grown Hope Watermelon. The course starts at Fair Park, mostly flat with winding turns, a gradual downhill, and an uphill challenge before leveling off for the finish. This tradition, running since 1978, welcomes high school teams to wheelchairs.
