Light the Darkness 5K 2027

The Light the Darkness 5K is an evening 5K run and walk on the sand at Lori Wilson Park in Cocoa Beach, Florida. This out-and-back beach race takes place during Human Trafficking Awareness Month, with proceeds supporting efforts to end human trafficking. It also kicks off the Get Outdoors for Freedom Spring & Summer Series. The course begins at the South Entrance area of Lori Wilson Park on N. Atlantic Ave., sending participants out and back along the beach. Head lamps, neon clothing, and lighted accessories are encouraged for the night-race setup, and the event offers extra prizes for the best glow-light outfits. Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers and masters winners; there are no age-group awards. Finishers receive a medal, raffle ticket, drink ticket, and shirt. The race village includes vendors, a food truck, and a virtual race option for those unable to attend in person.
