Miles for Mammos 5K Run/Walk 2026

The Miles for Mammos 5K Run/Walk begins at 9 AM at Jacksonville Commons in Jacksonville, North Carolina, preceded by an organized warmup. This flat, fast 5K supports Julie's Pink Warrior Project, with race proceeds funding free screening mammograms for uninsured and underinsured individuals in Onslow County. The course accommodates runners, walkers, strollers, and families. Water is available around the halfway point, and spectators and fellow runners offer encouragement during the final stretch. The event features a standard 5K, a virtual 5K, children's races for ages 5 and under, and a Breast Cancer Warrior category for survivors and current warriors. All finishers receive medals, post-race snacks are provided, and leashed dogs are welcome, with bandanas available for a small donation. This race also counts as a bonus event in the JOSC race series.
