About this race
Run through North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountains and the New River valley. The New River, an American Heritage River, is a backdrop framed by horse farms and Christmas tree farms. Runners call this course "a jog through the Garden of Eden" and "one of the most spectacular scenic courses in the land." Finishers of the New River Marathon, Half Marathon & 5K receive wooden medallions crafted from Blue Ridge Mountain wood, along with Stick Boy Bread Co. Kitchen goodies.
