North Canton YMCA July 4th Race 2026

The North Canton YMCA July 4th Race begins and ends at 200 S Main St in North Canton, Ohio, taking place on Independence Day morning. Participants can choose from several options: a 2 Mile Run/Walk/Stroll, a 5 Mile Run/Walk/Stroll, wheelchair divisions for both distances, a combined 2 mile and 5 mile option, and a free Firecracker Dash for children age 5 and under. The children's dash starts first, followed by the 2 mile race, the 5 mile wheelchair start, and then the 5 mile race. This is a long-standing local holiday race, with its 48th running scheduled. It is designed for families as much as for racers, accommodating walkers, strollers, wheelchair athletes, younger runners, and individuals participating in both main distances within the same morning. Participants get a race shirt and custom finisher medal. The event also includes live music, awards, and a red-white-and-blue costume tradition alongside the races.
