About this race
Run for Donuts Los Angeles is an annual small-group run held at Palisades Park in Los Angeles, offering 5K, 10K, half-marathon, and 1-mile Family Fun Run distances. It begins in morning waves, each with a participant limit, so registration closes once a wave is full. The event is intentionally low-key: participants may run or walk, all speeds are accepted, and individuals under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian.
The course map is provided to runners before race day. Bibs are distributed at the location, while shirts and merchandise are sent to participants within the United States. There are no timing chips; runners can use an app for tracking, request assistance from coordinators, or opt out of formal timing. The donut theme is central, with donuts available at the finish line, along with a Run for Donuts shirt, finisher medal, towel or other giveaway, a digital training package, online results, and a completion certificate. Filled waves can be managed via a waitlist or a virtual run option, and miles logged post-race can contribute to charity donations.
