Running of the Turkeys 2026

The Dana Point Turkey Trot takes runners through Dana Point Harbor on Thanksgiving Day, prior to the holiday meal. This USA Track & Field-certified event offers a 5K, 10K, Combo 15K, and a Kids' 1-Mile Gobble Wobble. Distances accommodate families, casual runners, and those seeking a longer morning run. The event is one of the largest turkey trots in the United States and is approaching its 50th running. Race day includes a costume contest and a health and fitness expo surrounding the runs. Proceeds benefit local charities in the Dana Point community.
