The One Sprint Into Spring 5K begins behind the Estacada Fire Station in Oregon. Runners follow a USATF-certified, chip-timed course eligible for official records. Similar events named Sprint Into Spring 5K occur in Elgin, Illinois, and Brentwood, New York. Elgin hosts an annual run/walk by Hanover Township’s Office of Community Health on the first Saturday in May. Brentwood’s event is a fun run/walk fundraiser with distinct starts for runners and walkers.
The Estacada course covers 5 km with 276 feet of elevation change, featuring an early steep climb, rolling hills through town, and a downhill finish on Broadway. Elgin’s race starts at the Hanover Township Izaak Walton Youth Center and includes walkers, sponsor tables, snacks, beverages, shirts, and medals for top finishers. Proceeds from the Estacada race benefit Parks & Recreation. Elgin’s race funds the Hanover Township Foundation, assisting residents with medical and dental expenses. Brentwood includes a Zumba stretch before its start.
