Stories Trail Runs 2027

SAT, February 6, 2027 · Colorado Springs , United States

About this race

Stories Trail Runs begins and ends at the Limekiln Trailhead within Cheyenne Mountain State Park in Colorado Springs. The course offers views of Cheyenne Mountain, Pikes Peak, and the Colorado Front Range. This event is a winter trail-running weekend featuring both fixed-distance races and timed races. Participants can select from a 10k, half marathon, 20-mile race, 6-hour race, or 15-hour race. The timed races take place on Saturday, with the traditional distances on Sunday. The total number of participants across all races is limited to 225. The timed events utilize multiple loops throughout the state park, with the primary staging area and aid station located at the start-finish line after each loop. Runners progress through various park trails rather than repeating a short track, aiming to cover the maximum distance they desire before their time expires. Two-day options allow runners to combine Saturday’s 6-hour race with a Sunday 10k or half marathon, or Saturday’s 15-hour race with a Sunday half marathon or 20-miler. These combined entries include one shirt and two bibs, with the choice of Sunday distance determined on the morning of the race. All participants are required to have a Colorado State Park pass for race day.
