Summit Mountain Challenge 2026

The Summit Mountain Challenge is a six-race summer mountain bike series held on the trails of Summit County, Colorado. Races take place on Wednesday evenings from May through August, between 5:00 PM and 9:00 PM. Participants can select from long, short, or kids courses, with the Breckenridge Classic concluding the series. The terrain features fast trails and significant climbs, appealing to those seeking consistent midweek competition over isolated events. To be eligible for overall series standings, participants must finish five of the six races on the same course category. Breckenridge Recreation now manages the series, having assumed control from Jeff Wescott of Maverick Sports Promotions, maintaining his commitment to accessible, well-organized local athletic events.
