Summit Mountain Challenge 2026

The Summit Mountain Challenge is a six-race summer mountain bike series held on the trails of Summit County, Colorado. Races take place on Wednesday evenings from May through August, offering long, short, and kids course options suitable for adults, newer riders, and young racers. The series concludes with the Breckenridge Classic. To qualify for the overall standings, riders must complete five of the six races on the same course length. Breckenridge Recreation now manages the series, having taken over from Jeff Wescott of Maverick Sports Promotions, maintaining a focus on affordable, organized local racing. The events are operated under a USDA Forest Service special use permit within White River National Forest. Race schedules may be adjusted due to weather or trail conditions.
