Swain Mountain Race

Suffer Fest on the slopes! This mountain/trail race takes you up and down the Swain Ski Slopes with nearly 2500ft of elevation gain, promising steep climbs and descents. You'll embrace the challenge across two loops, with the second ascending some of Swains most challenging climbs, including Clark and Upper Robinson. There's a special challenge on the Robinson Climb, a .35-mile ascent with 500ft of gain at a 25% average grade; the fastest male and female here win, and even the slowest climb of the day gets a prize! If you DNF, they'll honor you with a tombstone displaying your name, which you can redeem by finishing Swain Mountain Race in a future year.
