The Colony Shoreline 5K & 8 Miler 2026

The Colony Shoreline 5K & 8 Miler begins at Stewart Creek Park in The Colony, Texas, a northern Dallas suburb. This volunteer-led October race offers two distances: a 5K (3.1 miles) and an 8-mile run. Hundreds of runners participate annually, with proceeds benefiting UT Southwestern's cancer research. The course follows The Colony Shoreline Trail for approximately sixty percent of the 5K and eighty percent of the 8-mile distance, utilizing its smooth crushed granite path. The trail offers views of Lake Lewisville and features a gently rolling terrain. Participants receive water stops, a porta-potty at each turnaround, a chip-timed bib, a cotton shirt, a medal, music from DJ Dame, and a post-run beer.
